Background influences work

Alexandra Jabbarpour grew up in the Appalachia region of Southwest Virginia and the Dolomites of Austria. Their experience growing up in a multicultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-lingual home in spaces facing varying issues of environmental harms and injustice has shaped her perspective on the world. With a passion for equity in healthcare, mental healthcare, environmental issues, and education, Jabbarpour takes an intersectional approach to solve problems, using research, art, and community building to inform, inspire, and enact positive change.
